Shift Details
- Monday - Friday 10:00pm-7:00am (Will be required to work every other weekend)
- Pay Rate-$31.50

Primary Function
The Maintenance Mechanic performs preventative maintenance and repairs of large manufacturing equipment (hydraulic, pneumatic, conveyor, etc.).
Responsibilities and Tasks
- Perform preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines, including cleaning, oiling, lubricating, changing belts, and maintaining machinery to keep systems in optimal condition
- Identify root causes of unexpected breakdowns; repair quickly and efficiently to decrease downtime
- Record and report damaged, worn, or broken parts, order and install replacement parts as needed
- Prepare reports documenting work performed
- Clean, organize, inventory, stock, and maintain shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies
- Coordinate with managers to schedule regular maintenance on machines
- Collaborate with department heads regarding new products and required modifications
- Make necessary modifications and run tests; discuss results with product manager and adjust as required
- Identify opportunities for improvement, present to appropriate leader, and participate in solution implementation
- Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in all required areas to promote a zero-accident culture
- Perform additional relevant duties as assigned
Supervisor Responsibilities

Education and Certifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Vocational certificate in an appropriate field (e.g., welding, maintenance, electrical) preferred
- Ability to take and pass internal required testing
Experience and Skills
- Mechanically inclined with relevant experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and understand schematics, blueprints, etc. to diagnose problems with manufacturing equipment
- Good computer literacy with ability to enter work records in appropriate program
- Must have good communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization in a timely and professional manner; multi-lingual strongly preferred
- Ability to handle and resolve most issues efficiently
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize projects, plan effectively, and maintain high attention to detail
- Must possess a strong customer-centric attitude, high energy level and a strong sense of urgency
Safety Requirements
- Follow departmental and company safety policies and programs
- Wear required protective equipment in all areas where mandatory
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work extended shifts (holiday, weekend, and/or extended) as business needs require
- Ability to work in cold/humid or hot/dusty environments as needed
- Prolonged periods of standing, walking, crawling, stooping, kneeling, etc. with ability to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery
- Must be able to visually inspect machines
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
