We are looking for a Passivation Technician to join our Greenwood, IN facility on a 3rd shift schedule. You will assemble and inspect products prior to delivery.

What You’ll Do

  • Processes product parts to remove “free iron” film from surfaces by means of chemical dissolution in accordance with established procedures.
  • Performs spot checks of products to ensure adherence to approved quality standards as set forth by Quality Control inspector; Operates tumble deburr machine and cleans parts to remove small quantities of metal to produce a smooth finish.
  • Keeps accurate counts of parts and maintains documentation and paperwork; Notifies supervisor of product discrepancies or equipment malfunctions immediately.
  • Adheres to established company policies and procedures paying special attention to safety regulations; Wears personal protective equipment in accordance with safety and training guidelines.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned such as operating Timesaver, cutting channel or etching part numbers.
  • Helps train new employees as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required.

What You’ll Need

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 months related experience and/or training
  • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Mathematical skills to manage units of measure, fractions, decimals, whole numbers
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and operations sheets to determine set-up and operations to be formed
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
