Overview
We are hiring an Operations Supervisor at our Napoleon location, located at P314 County Road 12, Napoleon, OH 43545. This is a 3rd shift position. Must be willing to relocate to the Napoleon, OH area. We are seeking a critical thinker with strong leadership skills who adheres to organizational policies and procedures and can complete tasks on time.
Job Summary
Oversee all aspects of daily warehouse operations, including automated and manual co-pack lines, ensuring safe, efficient, and customer-focused logistics and repack functions. Support continuous improvement efforts, enforce compliance with safety and food-grade requirements, lead a team of warehouse staff, and maintain operational KPIs and productivity targets.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise personnel including scheduling, work assignments, performance management, training, and problem resolution.
- Lead daily shift huddles and communicate operational goals, performance updates, and safety topics.
- Hold supervising staff accountable for adherence to job requirements and follow through as needed.
- Monitor labor efficiency and performance through labor planning and timekeeping oversight.
- Maintain accurate payroll records including on-time approval of timecards and time-off requests; communicate issues with HR as required; adhere to attendance policy standards.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, food safety (where applicable), and company safety policies; lead accident investigations and corrective actions.
- Perform semi-annual warehouse audits and ensure adherence to OSHA, customer, and company standards; include periodic inventory audits and reconciliation of issues.
- For food-grade warehouses, lead a food safety culture; audit and maintain food safety standards; build a safety and security plan in compliance with company/client standards.
- Manage inventory accuracy, support physical inventory counts, and resolve discrepancies through root cause analysis.
- Support customer relationships by meeting service level expectations and maintaining open communication.
- Develop and update SOPs for warehouse operations and ensure adherence across locations.
- Ensure all training requirements are met; develop new training programs for operational success; train and mentor new employees on standard operating procedures, forklift certification, and safety practices.
- Participate in facility audits, customer inspections, and behavior-based observations.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and implement action plans to enhance warehouse performance.
- Maintain equipment inspection logs, initiate maintenance requests, and ensure proper material handling protocols.
- Assist in administrative tasks including reporting and employee documentation; coordinate special projects or seasonal ramp-up activities as needed.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Additional Qualifications
- 3-5 years of warehouse leadership experience, preferably in a 3PL or food-grade environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or logistics certifications preferred.
- Proficient in warehouse management systems (WMS) and handheld RF devices.
- Must be willing to travel as needed to monitor operations.
- Ability to lead a diverse workforce and build a team-oriented culture.
- Forklift operating experience; willingness to obtain trainer certification through internal training.
- Industrial Truck Certification via in-house training; ability to obtain Trainer certification.
- Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Steel toe shoes, safety glasses, and reflective/high-visibility vest/shirt required.
Working Conditions
- Moderate exposure to unusual elements such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, unpleasant odors, and loud noises.
- May involve some lifting and driving equipment.
