Job Summary

The Production Supervisor Off Shift is responsible for overseeing the timely and efficient flow of raw materials into high-quality finished products; may also include ensuring that equipment is maintained and in good repair.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Observe all company safety rules and regulations; recognize safety as a top priority and conduct/participate in regularly scheduled safety meetings with plant staff.
• Maintain efficient and timely flow of all raw materials received and finished products shipped.
• Oversee the equipment used to process raw and finished materials to ensure it is kept in good working order.
• Effectively manage all breakdowns and coordinate with Maintenance to ensure repairs are made in a timely manner.
• Lead continuous improvement efforts in all areas of responsibility.
• Be responsible for achieving individual and department targets, goals and objectives.
• Assist in conducting investigations of accidents within jurisdiction and make recommendations to Plant Safety Committee.
• All other duties as assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a supervisory/management role.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
• Must be able to work rotating weekend shifts.

Preferred Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude.
• Labor relations background and experience with leadership & training.
• Good understanding of production maintenance and repair protocols.
