Job Summary
The Production Supervisor Off Shift is responsible for overseeing the timely and efficient flow of raw materials into high-quality finished products; may also include ensuring that equipment is maintained and in good repair.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Observe all company safety rules and regulations; recognize safety as a top priority and conduct/participate in regularly scheduled safety meetings with plant staff.
- Maintain efficient and timely flow of all raw materials received and finished products shipped.
- Oversee the equipment used to process raw and finished materials to ensure it is kept in good working order.
- Effectively manage all breakdowns and coordinate with Maintenance to ensure repairs are made in a timely manner.
- Lead continuous improvement efforts in all areas of responsibility.
- Be responsible for achieving individual and department targets, goals and objectives.
- Assist in conducting investigations of accidents within jurisdiction and make recommendations to Plant Safety Committee.
- All other duties as assigned by management.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a supervisory/management role.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
- Must be able to work rotating weekend shifts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Labor relations background and experience with leadership & training.
- Good understanding of production maintenance and repair protocols.
