Adler Pelzer Group - a growing global Tier One supplier of Acoustic and Soft Trim products to the automotive industry is seeking motivated and committed Forklift Operators for the manufacturing operations in Athens, TN (off of I-75 freeway between Chattanooga and Knoxville).

The Forklift Operator will assist production operations in the manufacturing of the highest quality automotive products as assigned to meet or exceed customer requirements. This role performs all functions as a team player contributing to the success of the whole.

The following are the major duties and responsibilities of the Forklift Operator:

  • Ensures forklift truck is fully safe to operate by checking for safety items and completing forklift check sheet at beginning of each shift.
  • Supports and stocks lines to provide an even flow of material to enable production to run smoothly.
  • Accepts assignments and other responsibilities as required in support of team objectives.
  • Maintains good housekeeping in work area and throughout the plant.
  • Adheres to applicable IATF requirements.
  • Reads and comprehends operational work instructions.
  • Can lift a minimum of 25 pounds overhead as needed.
  • Can sit for long periods of time.
  • Willing to work necessary overtime, including weekends if required.
  • Performs all other duties assigned as necessary to support the plant and its operations.
