Position Title: Sales Manager – North America, Global Cellulose Fibers
Pay Rate: $110,000 - $140,000
Multiple factors, including individual experience, skills, and abilities, will determine the final placement within the pay range.

The Job You Will Perform:
This role involves managing individual accounts with sales revenue up to $30-50 million, with regional responsibility for North America and potential global account support totaling over $200 million in sales. You will oversee commercial activities of Absorbent Hygiene and some Tissue/Towel converters in North America, contributing to the global pulp sales of 2.5+ million tons annually.
Your responsibilities include selling Fluff & Papergrade pulps in the territory, focusing on Absorbent Hygiene converters. You will aim to strengthen our market position, grow volume or mix with key customers, and optimize our product portfolio and service platforms while mitigating value detractors.
This position requires an experienced sales professional capable of managing a diverse range of accounts, including large strategic and single-site accounts across North America. The role involves primarily direct sales, with possible management of selling agents, all within a B2B context. A solid understanding of supply chain logistics, product movement, storage, and economics is essential. Travel will be primarily domestic, with some international travel.
You will need to navigate and articulate global pulp markets, trade opportunities, and challenges, considering current trade/tariff requirements and global supply chains. A focus on cost reduction, cash flow, and efficiency is crucial. Collaboration across various business and functional groups globally is expected to deliver value and results.
Key Accountabilities:
- Lead strategic initiatives and profitability efforts for key Absorbent Hygiene accounts.
- Assist in managing multinational accounts.
- Manage sales activities for Absorbent Hygiene and Towel/Tissue converters, aiming to develop new business, maintain existing accounts, and maximize profitability.
- Develop and implement sales and account strategies to meet targets for volume, forecasting, pricing, mix, receivables, inventory, and customer value, while building a long-term sales pipeline.
- Collaborate with internal teams to meet customer and organizational objectives.
- Partner with customers to create mutual value and manage credit and risk portfolios.
- Understand market dynamics and communicate impacts internally to shape strategies.
- Provide market feedback and develop responses to market conditions and competitive activity.
- Prepare annual budgets and monthly demand forecasts.
- Handle customer complaints and credit processing.
The Qualifications, Skills, and Knowledge You Will Bring:
- BS/BA in Business Management, Supply Chain, or related field.
- 5+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in absorbent hygiene or fluff pulp industries.
- Negotiation skills and experience with large-scale commercial B2B sales.
- Ability to provide customer solutions, overcome objections, and adapt to emerging channels and competition.
- Global literacy with cultural awareness and adaptability in international business contexts.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to motivate and manage stakeholders to create value.
- Understanding of global business dynamics, profitability, EBITDA, and cash flow.
- Willingness to travel 30-50%.
