You’re the first smiling face our guests see every time they enter a Flanigan’s, and likely the last as they go on their merry way. You set the tone for the entire experience, greeting guests in a warm and welcoming way. You help usher guests to their tables, manage seating flow, field inquiries, and greet people on the way out. We’re always looking for friendly, hospitable people to join the team.

Responsibilities

• Displays a cheerful and courteous temperament; maintains a neat and clean professional image
• Greets guests with Flanigan’s “Smile Talk” and escorts them to their table in a timely manner
• Manages the Wait List for seating
• Communicates guests’ questions or concerns to the Manager on duty
• Keeps the foyer, host/hostess station, waiting area clean; restocks and cleans menus
• Restocks and maintains restroom cleanliness for guests
• Answers telephone within four rings; directs guests to proper staff member or answers questions
• Concludes guests’ visit with Flanigan’s “Smile Talk”
• Performs shift changes, opening/closing duties, and assigned sidework
• Physical requirements: ability to reach, bend, and stoop frequently; able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to speak, read, and write English

Qualifications

• Complete and pass Florida Responsible Vendor program (compliant with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes)
• Complete and pass food safety certification program (compliant with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes)
• Five (5) day work week
• Shift meals at 50% off
• Must be 21 or over to enroll in 401(k) Plan; immediate eligibility
• Health insurance - medical & dental programs available
• Paid vacation: one week after year one, two weeks after year two, three weeks after year ten
