The North Precinct is located in north Marysville and encompasses all of north Snohomish County bordering Skagit County to the north, Chelan County to the east, The City of Everett to the south, and Puget Sound to the west. The North Precinct area is suburban with large rural areas made up of farmland and National Forest. North County continues to grow with new residential areas springing up all around the cities. North County also has the Tulalip Indian Reservation in its area. Deputies working the Reservation are cross-commissioned to handle Tribal members.

The county's largest law enforcement agency responsible for enforcing all laws and regulations, preventing crime, investigating criminal activity, apprehending, arresting and detaining suspects, preventing and suppressing delinquency, and engaging in other activities that protect lives and property and preserve peace in the community. The Sheriff's Office also manages the county jail and coordinates the Regional Drug and Gang Task Force.
