Overview

Supply Chain Lead Manager (Finished Goods Distribution) role at Reynolds American Inc., Winston-Salem, NC. This role focuses on leading and coordinating finished goods distribution activities within the supply chain function.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the analysis and development of inventory plans by planners, maintaining master data for direct materials driving the ERP system.
  • Ensure planners understand transportation, order lead times, warehouse capacity, and related constraints; provide guidance as needed.
  • Supervise daily monitoring of direct material inventory levels, PO creation, and order adjustments to align with company goals.
  • Guide planners on vendor lead times, capacity, and constraints for each direct material group; maintain accurate master data.
  • Provide oversight and support in material delivery plan decisions and communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead analysis of direct material inventory availability issues; help develop and evaluate solutions and communicate resolutions to stakeholders.
  • Keep planners informed about brand planning projects and their impact on planning responsibilities (end-of-life, new launches, promotions) to minimize write-offs and support initiatives.
  • Manage daily activities of Lead Logistics Partners with planners to support service and cost goals.
  • Ensure planners understand and support the order-to-cash process as it relates to warehousing and distribution.
  • Encourage planner participation in project teams and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Mentor planners in basic supply chain analysis for professional development.

Qualifications

  • Associate Degree in Logistics, Technical, Business, or related field with 6+ years of relevant experience; or Bachelor’s degree in related field with 2+ years.
  • Supply Chain and/or manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Ability to make sound and timely decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of computers and information systems; ERP system experience preferred (SAP or Kinaxis Rapid Response).
  • Self-motivated, energetic, flexible, and adaptable to change.
