Fanatics is hiring: Seasonal Material Handler in Riverview

Job Summary

The material handler is a key player playing a vital part in transporting the required supplies by unloading orders and moving inventory utilizing a pallet jack. Work closely with the different departments and coaches to organize the workflow and moving orders to an assigned location and handling movement of inventory.

General Duties & Responsibilities

• Ability to operate and manage technical equipment like the Pallet Jack.
• Pull or place cartons on the racks.
• Provide work and supplies for the different stations.
• Distribute work from staging areas to the different stations and scan location.
• Arrange orders by size for better efficiency.
• Cut up and dispose of cardboard cases, plastic and packing materials and take to the compactor.
• Separate hangers for recycling.
• Maintain supplies (hangtags, labels, clips) for the different stations.
• Keep the work area clean and safe.

Educational Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent

General Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Ability to work in a warehouse in a fast-paced environment with effective communication.
• Ability to stand for 8-10 hours depending on daily work volume.
• Willingness to work overtime as necessary (flexible hours & days).
• Familiarity with Professional Sports Leagues and Teams is a plus.
• Previous experience working in a warehouse manufacturing environment (preferred).
• Basic ability to read bar codes on boxes utilizing RF scanning equipment (preferred).
• Perform inventory counts accurately.
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds or more, including reaching and bending when offloading and separating shipments.
• Computer skills (preferred).
• Other responsibilities as required.
