Description
The successful candidate will be entrusted with the following tasks:
- Active and independent research in one or more subfields of general linguistics
- Research specializations should include one or more of the following subfields: typology, research on one or more languages spoken outside of Europe, language documentation, research on spoken language
- Study program coordination
- Active efforts to secure third-party funding
- Supporting role in department management
- Teaching load: 4 hours per week/semester in various subfields of general linguistics
Requirements
- A completed doctorate in general linguistics or a related discipline
- Independent and innovative research activities in typology and/or language documentation or related areas
- Excellent management and communication skills
- Ideally, teaching experience
The successful candidate will have the opportunity for further academic qualification (Habilitation).
