Description

The successful candidate will be entrusted with the following tasks:

• Active and independent research in one or more subfields of general linguistics
• Research specializations should include one or more of the following subfields: typology, research on one or more languages spoken outside of Europe, language documentation, research on spoken language
• Study program coordination
• Active efforts to secure third-party funding
• Supporting role in department management
• Teaching load: 4 hours per week/semester in various subfields of general linguistics

Requirements

• A completed doctorate in general linguistics or a related discipline
• Independent and innovative research activities in typology and/or language documentation or related areas
• Excellent management and communication skills
• Ideally, teaching experience

The successful candidate will have the opportunity for further academic qualification (Habilitation).
