Le Meridien St Louis Clayton is currently looking for a guest service focused individual to join our team as a Night Auditor.

Job Overview:

As a Night Auditor, your responsibilities include verifying and reconciling all financial transactions in the hotel daily, posting & balancing all charges and settlements efficiently, maintaining files, and preparing systems for the next day. Additionally, you will act as the overnight Guest Service Agent.

Essential Functions:

  • Prepare daily restaurant revenue reports by auditing POS tapes/journals to break down revenue, covers, waiter fees, tips, and settlements by type and cashier.
  • Run audit reports from the front office system, POS, and computer.
  • Make corrections, adjustments, and handle computer issues during the shift.
  • Input revenue, expenses, and allowances into the front office system to generate daily reports like the Guest Ledger Summary and Restaurant Summary.
  • Balance revenue and settlement accounts nightly, maintain files, and reset systems for the next day.
  • Greet guests promptly with a friendly attitude, listen carefully, respond appropriately, and provide accurate information about hotel services and local attractions.
  • Complete guest registration, confirm information, promote hotel marketing programs, assign rooms, code electronic keys, and prepare welcome folders.
  • Verify and imprint credit cards, handle cash and other payments, convert foreign currency, and post charges to guest accounts.
  • Answer phones courteously, record messages, and assist with mail and packages.
  • Close guest accounts at checkout, ensure guest satisfaction, and handle any dissatisfaction professionally.
  • Address guest complaints by researching and resolving issues effectively and diplomatically.
  • Remain calm during emergencies and busy periods, using judgment and discretion.
  • Adhere to attendance policies and perform other duties as assigned.

  • Basic math skills and accuracy with a 10-key
  • Diplomacy and tact in handling internal and external customers
  • Ability to respond calmly to emergencies
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Ability to build effective relationships with guests and staff
  • Knowledge of Lightspeed Reservation system (preferred)
