Developed by a coalition of San Diego civic leaders and educators, High Tech High opened in September 2000 as a small public charter school with plans to serve approximately 450 students. HTH has evolved into an integrated network of sixteen charter schools serving approximately 6,350 students in grades K-12 across four campuses.

HTH seeks a part-time Courier, to assist with delivery services between school sites.

JOB SUMMARY

The Courier is primarily responsible for 8 hours of work weekly, driving a designated route and picking up and delivering mail and packages.

Duties include:

● Pick up and deliver documents and sometimes packages to various campuses (Chula Vista, San Marcos, Point Loma, Mesa) twice a week.

● Handle and deposit high volume cash to the bank

● Sort mail that is delivered to our main campus for all 16 schools

● Pick up mail from the San Diego Unified School District (SDUSD) office site to take back to the Point Loma campus and sort by school

The ideal candidate would possess the following competencies:

● Quick and attentive to instructions given

● Ability to Inform and communicate effectively if a message needs to be given to staff in the business office

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

● High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

● Must have personal vehicle that would allow them to get to and from each campus (mileage reimbursement provided)

● Must be able to submit a clean driving record

SALARY & BENEFITS

This is an hourly position. 8 hours for 1 day per week, and the pay range within the hourly step 1 scale begins at $16.30/hr up to $18.00/hr. This position does not qualify for benefits.
