eBryIT, Inc. is hiring: Courier Driver in Columbia

Overview

Job Title: W2 Variable Hour Employee - Courier Driver. Work days: Monday - Friday.

The driver will start in the morning picking up Chromebooks at the Columbia warehouse and make deliveries to numerous school locations throughout Richland County School District. Pick up Chromebook units from schools and deliver to Columbia Depot for Repair. Drivers will be assigned to designated areas each day (60 mile x 30 mile radius).

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a personal vehicle to pick up Chromebooks from the Columbia warehouse and deliver to school locations within the specified radius.
• Pick up Chromebook units from schools and deliver to Columbia Depot for Repair.
• Follow assigned routes and schedules and maintain timely delivery and pickup.

Requirements

• Good driving skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Business professional at all times (will be communicating with school staff).
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly.
• Task and detail oriented.
• Dependable/reliable.
• Ability to work alone.
• Must use your own personal vehicle for pickups/deliveries.

Important: Candidate will be responsible for driving/using their own vehicle for this job. Must have your own reliable transportation, good MVR record and valid SC Drivers license. Required to pass a full criminal background check, MVR check and drug screening. Required to meet eBryIT\'s auto insurance policy requirements.

Auto Insurance Coverage for SC Variable Hour Employees only: Liability: $25,000 per person / $50,000 per accident / $25,000 per Property Damage incident.

• As a eBryIT-certified Independent Contractor, you must adhere to professional standards during the performance of services for eBryIT.
• Attire must be clean and pressed. Acceptable attire includes a collared shirt (polo style or button-down shirt); khakis, Dockers or similarly styled pants, and hard-soled shoes such as loafers.
• Unacceptable attire includes torn or soiled clothes, blue jeans, T-shirts, sunglasses, hats, and athletic shoes.
• No visible body piercing or tattoos.

Education and Experience

Education: High School Diploma. Experience: Minimum of 1+ years of professional driving experience.
