As a healthy living coach, you are a critical component in assisting individuals with behavior change as they engage in a healthier lifestyle. Through engagement, encouragement, coaching, and meaningful connections, you create the cornerstone of their success.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Uphold the mission of the YMCA, and demonstrate behaviors that reflect a determined, nurturing, genuine, hopeful, and welcoming nature.
2. Provide courteous, prompt, and sincere attention to members, guests, participants, and staff.
3. Provide Healthy Living Initiatives such as Smart Start Trainings, Youth Fitness Fundamentals, Orientations, and other member engagement initiatives.
4. Responsible for member engagement and follow-up communication.
5. Ensure facilities are picked up, safe, and free from clutter.
6. Give exceptional tours when necessary – share the features of the YMCA and its offerings.
7. Foster and build strong member relationships.
8. Serve as a role model for policies and guidelines in the wellness center.
9. Maintain a safe, clean, and functional wellness center.
10. Replenish and maintain appropriate health and safety materials throughout the facility (hand sanitizer, paper towels, soap, disinfectant spray, etc.).

Qualifications

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

1. High school diploma or equivalent, preferred minimum Age 21+
