Personal Training Manager| Fit Fusion

Overview

The primary objective of the Personal Training Manager is to maximize the number of members who participate in, and retain, our paid Personal Training Services. This is achieved by meeting and exceeding both new client acquisition and existing client retention goals. The position is salaried and requires a minimum of 45 hours per week.

The Personal Training Manager will:

  1. Manage and coach the front-end selling process of the CrunchOne Kickoff.
  2. Manage and coach the delivery of personal training services.
  3. Own the client journey by engaging clients with our paid programming.

The manager is responsible for maintaining company standards, leading by example, and ensuring team members adhere to punctuality, dress code, friendliness, and cleanliness standards.

Responsibilities

New Client Acquisition

  • Sell directly, approximately 50% of the time/day.
  • Coach and guide personal trainers on sales techniques.
  • Manage schedules and resources based on KPIs.

Minimize and Manage Attrition

  • Implement and communicate the Client Journey, especially the first 90 days.
  • Ensure personal trainers deliver high-quality, scientifically backed programs.
  • Administer personal training services accurately, including goal tracking, program design, and progress reports.

Staff Development

  • Hire, train, and manage personal trainers.
  • Conduct performance reviews and motivate staff.

Manage & Communicate KPIs

  • Maintain performance reports.
  • Share insights and improvement plans with the General Manager.
Requirements

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Knowledge of personal training techniques and program design.
  • Strong sales, communication, and rapport-building skills.
  • Familiarity with Crunch programs like VFP, dotFit, ABC/Datatrak, Crunch U, Styku.
  • Ability to operate all club equipment.
  • Experience in group coaching/motivation.
  • Leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Positive, enthusiastic attitude.
  • Customer service focus.
  • Professional responsiveness to members and staff.
Education & Certifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s preferred.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Certifications such as ACSM, ACE, The Cooper Institute, IFPA, NASM, NESTA, NFPT, NSCA are preferred.
Experience
  • 1-2 years as a personal trainer preferred.
  • Management experience in retail/hospitality leading 3-10 employees preferred.
  • Consultative sales experience preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work in the club office and move around the club.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and demonstrate physical activities.
