Overview

Thank you for exploring opportunities at one of the premier workplaces in Northeast Florida. This role is based at Ponte Vedra Inn & Club and involves front desk duties for the Fitness Center, guest service, and event support as part of the fitness team.

Responsibilities

• Greet members as they enter and exit the Fitness Center.
• Provide towels and locker keys to members; maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk.
• Answer the phone promptly and professionally; take and forward messages as appropriate.
• Ring up sales on the computer and run reports; learn Point of Sale (POS) system.
• Organize kids’ crafts, monthly events, and children’s games as needed.
• Sign in new members and guests; assist in quality member service as assigned by the Fitness Center Director or Assistant Director.
• Perform opening and closing duties; keep work areas neat, clean, and orderly.
• Maintain logs and files; keep binders organized and up to date; make copies as needed.
• Assist in the nursery as needed, working with members’ children.
• Maintain pro shop apparel order forms and displays.

Qualifications

• Education: Must be able to read, write, speak, and follow written and/or oral directions in English.
• Training and Experience: Fitness center experience is helpful but not necessary. Customer service experience is required.
• Job Knowledge: Knowledge of common courtesy, the ability to perform multiple tasks, and strong organizational skills.

Physical Abilities

• Must be able to work standing on feet for several hours at a time.
• Must be able to lift, carry, and move a minimum of 30 pounds.

Schedule

• Varied to include weekends and holidays.
