Madison School & Community Recreation (MSCR) Job Opportunity

MSCR offers a variety of athletic, recreational, arts, and enrichment activities for all ages, including swimming instruction, arts & enrichment classes, youth summer camps, adult fitness, and outdoor pursuits. As part of the Madison Metropolitan School District, MSCR also provides afterschool activities and summer programming in Madison schools and community centers.

Program Description

We offer 18+ and 50+ water exercise classes, including aqua circuit, deep water, warm water, and arthritis exercises.

Job Description & Duties

• Instruct deep water and/or shallow water fitness classes for adults.
• Create a welcoming and supportive environment for participants.
• Provide options suitable for various ability levels within each class.

This position offers a flexible schedule with afternoons and evenings available.

Pay Rate

$25.00 – $29.00 per hour

Minimum Qualifications

• Willingness to be trained in aqua fitness instruction.
• Experience teaching group fitness classes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience teaching aqua fitness classes.
• Lifeguard certification or willingness to obtain one.

Additional Information
