Lead Fitness Instructor Job at Pure Barre in Mountain View

POSITION:

The Pure Barre Lead Fitness Instructor will lead a team of instructors as well as teach up to 20 participants through the Pure Barre experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Availability to teach a minimum of 6 classes per week (classes are offered early mornings, midday, evenings, weekends, and holidays).
2. Plan and prepare diligently before each class, including study of choreography and class planning prior to each class.
3. Learn full choreography changes on a quarterly basis.
4. Assist with keeping the studio tidy.
5. Lift hand weights, demonstrate full body pushups, and maintain high energy for a 50-minute class.

REQUIREMENTS:

1. 1+ years of experience as a barre instructor at a barre studio.
2. Ability to coach a team of instructors.
3. Enthusiastic, confident, and outgoing personality.
4. Passion for fitness, wellness, and helping others.
5. Ability and desire to build client relationships through outstanding customer service.
6. Active lifestyle, already living a health-centered life.
7. Dependable with a strong work ethic - natural willingness to go above and beyond.
8. Confidence to energetically command a room of 20 people.
9. Musicality - ability to keep rhythm and count to the beat of music.
10. Background in dance, fitness, cheerleading, or barre concept (ideal but not required).
11. All instructors are required to complete a 4-day training at one of our corporate training centers, as well as significant 'at home' study and preparation for certification before being eligible to teach classes.
12. Minimum one-year commitment to teaching required before attending 4-day training.
