Position Description

Ryder is immediately hiring a Temporary Full Time Material Handler/Forklift Operator in Franklin, Indiana.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions, including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Operate and support automated packing systems and assist with related paperwork (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
• Deliver accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products, and loading/unloading of trucks.
• Maintain performance within contract guidelines and support day-to-day operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Products, Equipment & Work Environment

• Products Being Handled: HVAC Products
• Equipment: Stand-up and sit down forklifts, order pickers, walkie riders
• Location: Franklin, IN

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
• Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization
• Highly thorough and dependable; punctual with good attendance
• Performs work independently with minimal supervision; high initiative; accurate under pressure
• Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs; stand for long periods
• Flexibility to work on various shifts
• Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices
