Notice: This position is for a Forklift Mechanic, specifically for repair and upkeep roles. This is not a forklift operation job.

Your Role Includes

• Conduct regular maintenance and fixes on an array of forklifts and heavy machines, including gas, diesel, and electric models.
• Solve complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic challenges to enhance equipment safety and performance.
• Carry out inspections and testing to detect and address issues early.
• Keep an organized record of maintenance operations, parts utilized, and repair histories.
• Respond promptly to repair requests in both workshop and field settings.
• Work closely with colleagues to enhance equipment efficiency and decrease downtime.
• Stay informed on the latest in forklift and material handling tech developments.
• Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and keep your work environment tidy.

Qualifications Required

• Completion of high school or equivalent; a technical certificate in mechanics is an advantage.
• Over 2 years of experience in forklift repairs or heavy equipment maintenance.
• Proficient in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems understanding.
• Able to decipher technical documentation and schematics.
• Exceptional problem-solving capability and detail .
• Able to operate independently and in teamwork settings.
• Possess a valid driver’s license with a clean record; company vehicles are provided for in-field assignments.
• Tools provision .

Desirable Attributes

• Proof of Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) certifications (e.g., Toyota, Hyster).
• Holding ASE or similar mechanical certifications is a plus.
• Being bilingual (English and Spanish) is advantageous.
