Overview

Join to apply for the Forklift Operator / 2194 role at Hamilton Beach Brands Inc. in Byhalia, Mississippi Distribution Center. This is a first shift position (Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM) with starting pay of $21.96 per hour, with an increase after 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Operate cherry picker, reach and sit-down forklift equipment with lifting devices to push, pull, stack or move products.
• Inspect the forklift at the start of each shift to ensure it is functional.
• Obtain and follow priority work assignments as directed by supervisor or lead person.
• Review reports, orders and customer instructions to ensure proper handling of products.
• Monitor warehouse areas for damaged products or pallets and take appropriate action.
• Ensure production standards are maintained and that work is completed in a safe and timely manner.
• Collaborate effectively in a team environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Management Team.

Requirements

• HS Diploma or GED is desirable.
• Minimum 1 year of experience driving a reach/sit-down forklift or walkie rider.
• Warehouse Management System experience desired; HighJump experience highly desired.
• Physical ability to bend, squat, kneel, reach overhead, stand/walk for up to 4 hours at a time, and push/pull lift up to 45 pounds.
