Overview

Title: Forklift Operator
Location: Appleton, WI
Duration: 0-3 Months
Shift: M – F 11:00 am to 07:00 pm
Pay rate: 16.96/Hour

Responsibilities

  • Operate a simple packaging line (push-button filler system for drums and totes).
  • Label drums and totes accurately.
  • Package drums and totes for shipment or storage.
  • Handle materials, including moving items to and from the warehouse.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
  • Assist in loading/unloading goods from vehicles (e.g., trucks).
  • Move goods packed on pallets within the storage facility using appropriate equipment.
  • Stack goods in designated storage locations and ensure inventory control procedures are followed.
  • Perform daily equipment checks (e.g., recharging batteries, lubricating equipment).
  • Examine products to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Operate a forklift when required (only if certified).
  • Collaborate with another team member at the filler (one operator, one forklift driver).

Scope of Responsibilities

  • Labeling, Packaging, Filling, Material Handling, Cleaning only.
  • Questions or duties outside this scope are handled case by case.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Comfortable with simple machine operations and repetitive tasks.
  • Good math, language, and reading skills.
  • Basic computer skills may be needed.
  • Strong attention to detail to maintain safety and quality.
  • Ability to follow instructions and record-keeping protocols.
  • Must be able to execute assignments accurately, safely, and on time.
  • Ability to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record may be required.
  • Forklift certification per OSHA standards is required (to be re-verified onsite at expense).
  • Must clearly understand job scope and wage before starting assignment.
  • Willingness to wear provided uniforms and PPE.
