Overview

Ryder is immediately hiring a Permanent Full Time Warehouse Stand up Clamp Forklift Operator in Romeoville, Illinois. Warehouse positions pay weekly.

Pay: $22.00 per hour plus $3.00 per hour when assigned to D Shift. Schedule: D Shift Wednesday 12:00 am – 6:00 am; Thursday – Saturday 6:00 pm – 6:00 am.

Products being handled: paper goods. Equipment: stand-up forklifts; clamp trucks.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions, including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Work within performance measurement guidelines of the contract and ensure accuracy in picking, packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products, and loading/unloading of trucks.
• Process day-to-day warehouse paperwork (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.).
• Provide technical and maintenance support for the automated packing system during core production hours.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid forklift operator’s license/certification.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; able to work in a diverse environment.
• Ability to build professional relationships at all organizational levels.
• Thorough, dependable, punctual with good attendance.
• Performs work independently with minimal supervision and possesses initiative.
• Demonstrates high level of accuracy, even under pressure.
• Physical ability to lift/push/pull up to 35 lbs and stand for long periods; able to work using health and safety methods.
• Flexible schedule availability across various shifts.
• Detail-oriented with strong follow-up skills.
