Ventura Foods is hiring: Forklift Operator II in Saginaw

Position Summary:

Forklift Operator II is responsible for operating forklifts across all functional areas at the Fort Worth facility, with cross-training in routine duties related to daily lift truck operations.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Staging orders: Accurately select and stage orders for loading, following proper procedures including RF System use, documentation, and product selection.
2. Loading trucks: Load customer orders onto trucks adhering to safety protocols, equipment inspections, RF system, and documentation processes.
3. Receiving: Receive packaging, ingredients, and finished goods, ensuring proper storage, rotation, quality, and documentation.
4. Production Support: Support manufacturing by handling finished goods, scanning for reconciliation, and maintaining temperature controls.
5. Troubleshooting: Address inventory issues, manage defective materials, and adjust locations properly.
6. Warehouse Safety: Follow safety procedures for battery handling, pallet exchange, shrink wrapping, allergen compliance, vehicle inspections, and damage reporting.
7. Deck Supply Support: Manage ingredient issuing and return, following proper tote storage protocols.
8. FSMA Compliance: Ensure adherence to food safety standards.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent, with relevant experience to perform major duties.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Minimum one year of stand-up forklift experience and certification.
• Proficiency in math, RF computer systems, desktop computers, and calculators.
• Effective reading, writing, and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of safety standards related to warehouse operations.

Physical Demands:

Work Environment:

Shifts typically last 8-12 hours, with potential for additional hours. Employees must wear PPE and may work outdoors, in extreme temperatures, or in confined spaces, including heights over 18 feet.
