Working in a critical access hospital provides clinicians with a unique opportunity to have a more diverse patient care experience. The CNA Coordinator will assist nursing staff in coordination of all aspects of care given to the residents. Provides leadership and oversight to CNAs on the unit and assists staff as requested with various tasks.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Assist nurses with supervision of routine nursing care of residents and assist CNAs in completion of their duties correctly and in compliance with regulations.
- Assist nurses with overseeing clinical care by compliance rounding to observe resident rooms and common areas.
- Always demonstrates an awareness and understanding of resident needs, comfort, and safety.
- Safely practices resident care according to facility policies, procedures, and established practices.
- Works effectively as a team member in the delivery of care and assists in the orientation of new employees. Maintains good working relations with nursing unit staff and other hospital employees through appropriate communication.
- Instills confidence in residents by maintaining a neat appearance and performing duties in a competent and caring manner. Reports observations of residents to the nurse caring for the resident to ensure professional assessment.
- Functions as a team member, demonstrating the initiative to assist team members in completing assignments.
- With specialized training and written approval, may perform additional and specialized tasks pertinent to the assigned area.
- Unit support duties as assigned by DON
- Evaluates day to day performance of the CNAs in relation to department objectives and established standards.
- Notes employees' performance, both positive and negative, and reports them to their supervisor.

- Works effectively with others, must possess tact, discretion, and diplomacy.
- Ability to work under stress and at times complete duties with numerous interruptions.

Education and Experience
- High school graduate preferred.
- CNA Certification required
- Successful completion of nursing assistant course or the equivalent.
- Previous CNA experience preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
- Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds at times.
Additional Job Information
- Pay: This is a non-exempt, hourly position and employees are paid on a bi-weekly basis.
- Bonus: Position may be eligible for recruitment incentives. IE: Sign-on, Retention, Moving Assistance, Tuition Reimbursement, etc.
- Typical Schedule: Five (5) Eight (8) hours rotating shifts.
- Location: On Site - 202 Prospect Dr, Glendive MT 59330.
- Travel: Very minimal to none.
