Job Posting Close Date: 09/22/2025Overview: INTECON, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Security Specialist to support the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC at the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC). This position plays a critical role in executing operational, functional, and mission assurance aspects of Information, Personnel, Operations, and Physical Security programs. The Security Specialist ensures compliance with DoD, Air Force, and Intelligence Community directives while supporting NASIC’s mission to provide actionable intelligence on air, space, cyber, and missile threats.This is an excellent opportunity for a mission-driven professional with expertise in multi-disciplined security operations within the Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC).Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, execute, and assess security programs across Information, Industrial, and Personnel Security disciplines.
- Provide expertise in cybersecurity and IT security oversight for multi-level classified environments (Unclassified through TS/SCI and SAP).
- Conduct physical security and risk vulnerability inspections; provide recommendations on facility and security system design/configurations.
- Support secure facility operations (SCIF/SAP/CAP spaces) including access control, alarm response, and accreditation documentation.
- Develop and manage policies, procedures, and workflows to ensure compliance with DD254 and security classification guides.
- Provide training, guidance, and support to staff on security policies and practices.
- Ensure compliance with NISPOM, DoD 5200-series, and AFI security directives.
- Prepare and deliver security reports, documentation, and recommendations to senior leadership.
Clearance Requirements:
- Active Top Secret/SCI at time of hire; must be able to maintain TS/SCI eligibility and comply with polygraph if required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, or related field.
Four (4) additional years of relevant work experience may be substituted for the degree.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in DoD/IC security programs (personnel, information, cyber, and/or facility security).
Familiarity with DD254 requirements, ICD 705 SCIF standards, OPSEC, and NISPOM.
Strong working knowledge of classified IT systems, SIPRNET/JWICS access, and cybersecurity compliance.
Excellent communication skills and ability to interface with senior DoD/IC stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to recommend risk mitigation strategies.
