This role is ideal for someone with strong DevSecOps experience and a passion for innovation in threat detection and response.

Base pay range

$60.00/hr - $70.00/hr

We’re seeking a highly skilled Security Architect / Operations Engineer to lead the design, deployment, and automation of cybersecurity solutions across multiple technology development labs nationwide. This role is ideal for someone with strong DevSecOps experience and a passion for innovation in threat detection and response.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement integrated security frameworks across lab environments.
• Automate deployment of cybersecurity tools, patches, and hardening configurations using Ansible, PowerShell, Python, and shell scripting.
• Explore and apply Generative AI models for threat prediction and automated response.
• Lead deployment and configuration of Splunk Enterprise Security and onboard data sources for detection use cases.
• Manage vulnerability detection and remediation programs using Tenable Nessus.
• Administer endpoint protection tools including CrowdStrike and Sophos.
• Deploy and manage privileged access tools such as CyberArk and BeyondTrust.
• Conduct penetration testing using Rapid7 Metasploit, Kali Linux, and other tools.
• Provide incident response and security event management across multiple U.S. sites.
• Advise lab managers and developers on security best practices.
• Support firewall backup administration (Juniper SRX, Palo Alto).
• Work across Linux, Windows, Active Directory, and IP networking environments; familiarity with RedHat OpenShift is a plus.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in cybersecurity architecture and operations.
• Strong scripting and automation skills.
• Hands-on experience with security tools and platforms listed above.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
