Overview

The Safety and Security Supervisor directs the daily operations of the Safety and Security department, ensuring the protection of hotel guests and staff. Responsibilities include patrolling hotel premises, maintaining security, and reporting hazards or violations of hotel rules.

Responsibilities

  1. Supervise security staff and assign shifts and duties.
  2. Conduct training sessions for security personnel.
  3. Supervise investigations related to security incidents.
  4. Implement procedures for emergencies such as fire, bomb threats, or hurricanes.
  5. Participate actively in the safety committee.
  6. Review payroll and daily activity logs.
  7. Check identification of visitors and employees, and document packages.
  8. Manage access to secured areas for authorized personnel.
  9. Complete incident and accident reports clearly and promptly.
  10. Conduct building patrols and investigations of thefts, accidents, and complaints.
  11. Assist during fire or emergency situations.
  12. Provide escorts to guests and employees as needed.
  13. Respond to alarms and monitor security cameras, if applicable.
  14. Administer first aid, CPR, or Heimlich Maneuver as necessary.
  15. Check and document all deliveries and packages.
  16. Ensure premises are secure and free of disturbances.
  17. Issue and inventory security equipment and keys daily.
  18. Conduct basic First Aid training sessions.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent, with experience in hospitality or related fields required.
  • One or more years of progressive experience preferred.
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.
