Basic Job Functions

Security Engineer. In this role you will monitor endpoint and end user security and respond to alerts generated within our tools and from our MSSP SOC. You will coordinate with operations and infrastructure teams to respond to incidents. You will also work within the security team and with operations teams to support vulnerability management tools and processes. All members of the NBT Security team participate in incident response and on-call rotation, providing coverage after hours and on weekends. Some travel may be required.

Minimum Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in endpoint security, management, and/or support
• Bachelor’s degree in IT or cybersecurity (additional cybersecurity experience considered)
• Immigration or work sponsorship will not be provided for this position

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with endpoint management and security best practices
• Experience with endpoint management and security tools (Microsoft Intune, Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Servers, Carbon Black App Control)
• Experience with SIEM tools (Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, or similar)
• Experience with open-source tools applied to cybersecurity incident response
• Experience with vulnerability management tools (Rapid7 InsightVM, QualysGuard, Nessus)
• Knowledge of common cyber threats, attack methods, and defense practices; interest in continuous learning in these areas
