Overview

The Armed Security Officer position helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for a client site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area. Officers frequently provide customer service and information to a client’s employees and customers and serve as a physical deterrent. Securitas offers full training for this role. Experience in security, law enforcement, or the military is considered a strong fit.

Responsibilities

• Actively monitor and patrol client sites to ensure safety and security.
• Enforce regulations and directives for personnel, visitors, and the area.
• Provide customer service and information to employees and customers.
• Serve as a visible deterrent to maintain a secure environment.

Qualifications

• 21 years of age or older
• High School Diploma, GED, or ability to complete the GED program within 6 months
• Standard computer/technology skills
• Conflict resolution and de-escalation skills are a plus
• Professional interaction with a wide range of individuals
• Strong attention to detail and vigilance during shift
• Ability to respond to emergencies with rapid and appropriate judgment
• Willingness to participate in pre-employment screening, including drug screen and background investigation
• Active Level 3 Guard Card License
• 2-3 years of relevant experience
