TEKsystems is hiring: Security Analyst in Scottsdale

Overview

TEKsystems is looking for a SecOps Technician to support the buildout of a brand-new Security Operations Center (SOC) for one of our top clients. This is a hands-on, alert-driven role in a fast-paced environment, contributing to a growing internal security team.

Key Skills

• Experience with MITRE ATT&CK
• Familiarity with Splunk, Cisco Umbrella, Firepower, or Trend Micro
• Security+ or other entry-level security certification
• Networking and technical writing experience
• Exposure to phishing, malware, EDR, SIEM, DNS filtering, and firewall management

Responsibilities

As a SecOps Technician, you will be a core part of the SOC team, responsible for monitoring security tools, triaging alerts, and escalating actionable threats. This is a hands-on role focused on real-time detection and response, not policy or governance.

Technicians will support daily security operations, investigate endpoint and user-based anomalies, contribute to runbooks, and assist in tuning detection rules. Ideal candidates have 1+ year of experience in help desk, NOC, or systems administration roles, with cybersecurity knowledge gained through boot camps or formal education.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent hands-on experience in cybersecurity or IT operations
• Strong documentation and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• Comfortable working in a hybrid schedule

Work Environment

• Hybrid: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote
• Location: Scottsdale, AZ
• Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday, 8 AM-5 PM local time
• Overtime: Not expected

Compensation & Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
