Who we are looking for:
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Security Supervisor to join our team in Miami, FL.
You will be responsible for performing your duties in alignment with the Liderman Culture, ensuring policies and procedures are followed properly and driving company success by maintaining the highest standards in your role. You will act as a liaison between clients, operations managers and security officers.
What you’ll do:
- Train security officers; review post orders and other assignment details with subordinates.
- Supervise and coordinate the delivery of quality services to an assigned client.
- In conjunction with company management or designated representatives, ensure proper coverage of all jobs and positions.
- Prepare, file and submit various digital reports as required.
- Assist in submitting payroll and personnel information to the company as designated.
- Inspect positions as scheduled and meet with subordinates to outline duties and responsibilities.
- Handle both common and crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently.
- Help patrolling our client’s facilities and prevent safety hazards, theft, violence, or other infractions before they occur.
- Respond to emergencies according to NIMS guidelines, investigate disturbances, and help ensure the safety and security of people and property.
- Oversee the operation of specific access control and video management systems.
- Maintain personal knowledge of industry standards, requirements, and technology trends in safety and security.
- As assigned, in accordance with applicable company policies and procedures and in compliance with state and federal laws, perform supervisory duties which may include interviewing, orienting and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; coaching and evaluating performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems; and making hiring and termination recommendations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What you’ll need:
- 21 years old or older.
- High School Graduate / GED.
- 5 years of security experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills required.
- Strong leadership and consensus-building skills with operational problem-solving and decision-making experience.
- Must work well in a team environment.
- Possess intermediate computer and communication skills.
- Driver’s License.
- Experience in security, police work, military service, or other relevant services.
- Experience in team management.
- Class D license required; Class G firearm license preferred.
- Willingness to participate in the company's screening procedures, encompassing drug screening and background checks.
