Description

Responsible for overseeing daily security operations across Jubitz Corporation's property to ensure the safety of guests, employees, and assets. This role manages a team of security personnel, ensures compliance with regulatory standards, provides ongoing training, and emphasizes de-escalation strategies to maintain a safe and welcoming environment. This role requires strong leadership and management skills, a proactive and detail-oriented approach, and the ability to develop and mentor security staff while maintaining excellent working relationships across departments.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Leadership and Team Development
  • Hire, train, and supervise security team to ensure compliance with job duties, safety standards, company policies, and professional certifications.
  • Prepare weekly schedules and ensure adequate coverage across the 24/7 operation, including during peak business hours and special events.
  • Foster a positive and professional team culture that aligns with the company's mission to provide "World-Class Customer Experiences."
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
  • Stay updated on security industry standards and implement best practices.
Operational Management
  • Conduct routine patrols of the property, including buildings and grounds, to monitor and address potential security risks.
  • Develop Monitor and update security procedures, ensuring adherence to best practices and company standards.
  • Oversee the maintenance, registration, and readiness of security vehicles.
  • Analyze security reports to identify patterns and implement preventive measures.
Incident Response and De-Escalation
  • Respond promptly and professionally to security incidents, customer complaints, and emergencies, utilizing de-escalation strategies.
  • Address and resolve verbal and physical confrontations while maintaining composure and professionalism.
  • Provide support during employee escorts, crowd control, and other high-demand situations.
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation of incidents, including theft, damage, and suspicious activity.
  • Analyze security reports to identify patterns and implement preventive measures.
Compliance and Training
  • Ensure security staff comply with DPSST certification and OLCC regulations, maintaining current
  • Provide ongoing, relevant, and up-to-date training programs to ensure security officers are equipped to handle their responsibilities, focusing on safety, customer service, conflict resolution, de-escalation techniques, and emergency response.
  • Oversee and ensure team compliance with DPSST and OLCC regulations.
  • Maintain CPR/First Aid certification and ensure team readiness to administer basic medical assistance if needed.
Customer Service and Collaboration
  • Build strong working relationships with other managers to support overall business operations.
  • Collaborate with department managers to address security needs and enhance interdepartmental cooperation.
  • Investigate customer complaints and feedback, leveraging comment cards as training tools to improve service.
  • Organize and ensure proper security coverage for special events.
Administrative Responsibilities
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping and reporting of security operations, as well as customer and employee incidents and accidents.
  • Track and manage security logs, including truck counts.
  • Prepare and monitor employee timecards.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date security manuals and documentation.
Requirements

Required Skills:
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor's degree in security management, criminal justice, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of three years in security management, law enforcement, or military, with a solid understanding of security principles.
  • DPSST Executive Manager license (obtainable within 30 days).
  • CPR/First Aid certification (obtainable within 60 days).
  • OLCC Card (obtainable within 30 days).
  • Valid Class C Driver's License required (State of Oregon or Washington) with acceptable Motor Vehicle Record.
