With deliveries 365 days a year, 7 days a week and multiple runs per day, Mr. Greens serves a large variety of clients including restaurants, hotels, country clubs, caterers, grocery stores and retail outlets.
Summary
Mr. Greens seeks a highly motivated and dedicated Warehouse Night Lead. The lead will play a vital role in our Austin Warehouse. The position is responsible for leading the night selector team as well as selecting full case grocery, frozen and/or perishable products from warehouse picking slots using a pallet jack or other equipment. Selected items are placed on a pallet, packages are wrapped in plastic, transported to the shipping dock (and, in some cases), loaded onto a truck for delivery to customers. All employees are expected to make safety their top priority.
Accountabilities
- Manage overnight / night operations of the warehouse, including returns, receiving, put away, transfers, restock, freight, parcels, and conversion.
- Lead night warehouse team to deliver unparalleled customer service.
- Maintain high levels of accuracy in overnight / night operations.
- Support Night Manager.
- Responsible for associate development through training on policy & procedures. Create a cohesive organization by keeping lines of communication open and directing workforce to ensure efficient workflow.
- Perform general physical activities load, unload, sort and move products and materials by hand or using basic material handling equipment.
- Perform tasks in multi-temperature environments.
- Select merchandise for shipment and stack on pallet neatly by using a pallet jack or forklift.
- Use a pick sheet to identify items inside the warehouse.
- Breakdown and restack merchandise from pallets.
- Verify quantity of the products.
- Ensure items are picked accurately and safely to prevent damage.
- Keep warehouse tidy by picking up scrap wood, paper, plastic wrappers, and broken pallets.
- Maintaining a food-safe environment.
- Report any damaged equipment to shift supervisor or maintenance staff.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills And Qualifications
- Previous warehousing managing/leadership experience.
- Power Pallet Jacks: Required
- Fresh Produce experience preferred
- Night Shift (Required) 8:00PM until Finish
- Must be able to work effectively with other employees, and other departments within the company.
- Must be able to climb, stoop, kneel, and reach.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work in 35 to 70-degree temperatures.
- Prior experience working in the food industry.
