Summary

The Hampton Inn and Suites in Lincolnshire is looking for a Night Auditor to add to our strong front office team! We are looking for those who are willing to develop our team culture, utilizing their skills to create an environment dedicated to thoughtful and attentive service with a focus on customer experience. We are looking for someone who can work Friday and Saturday, 11pm - 7am.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Represent the hotel in a positive manner at all times.
  2. Execute check-in/out procedures for arriving and departing guests on a daily basis using both manual and computerized methods.
  3. Calculate and/or post monies, receipts, guest accounts and other forms of credit using accurate, proper cash handling methods and established procedures in order to present the customer with timely and precise hotel charges upon check-out and maintain accurate hotel records.
  4. Answer guest inquiries and accept reservations, both in person and by telephone, by accurately communicating hotel rates and information and by using suggestive selling techniques to sell room nights, increase occupancy and revenue.
  5. Maintain good customer relations by being knowledgeable of all in-house and area functions in order to provide guests with accurate information.
  6. Operate the PBX equipment to provide guests with timely and efficient service.
  7. Process all guest mail, messages and faxes in order to ensure the information is received by the guests in the most timely and accurate method possible.
  8. Maintain information and communication sources to enhance department communications and operations.
  9. Post all daily room and outstanding charges.
  10. Balance all revenue totals of cash and credits against revenue report.
  11. Accept revenue and floats from restaurant cashiers, ensuring that these are securely locked away.
  12. Prepare hotel operating reports and complete audit package to hotel standards.
  13. Correct any errors or omissions made by cashiers.
  14. Prepare Credit Card/Charge Card summaries and post to ledger account.
  15. Ensure proper distribution and filing of daily reports in a timely manner; transmit final data to home office.
  16. Notify and follow up with proper departments when discrepancies arise.
  17. Exemplify the hotel's Standard Code of Conduct and all other regulations established by management and Employee Handbook.
