The Online Course Pacing Analyst will be responsible for shaping the rhythm of our online courses to contribute to student success. The Online Course Pacing Analyst is critical to the continuous improvement in the quality, content, and assessment procedures so the optimal curriculum is delivered to our students. Allowing students to fully engage with the creative process without feeling overloaded or under-challenged while being successful in their course work is the primary goal for this role. The Online Course Pacing Analyst will focus on the experience of learning: ensuring each week’s module has the right balance of content, assignments, and time-on-task to keep students motivated, inspired, and on track.
This is a fully remote position.
Responsibilities
- Review 15-week online art and design courses with an eye for pacing, flow, and workload.
- Evaluate weekly modules to ensure assignments and content feel balanced, achievable, and aligned with learning goals.
- Recommend adjustments that create a smooth learning journey—challenging yet supportive, rigorous yet sustainable.
- Partner with faculty and course design teams to develop best practices for workload expectations.
- Serve as a student advocate in the course development process, helping ensure the creative spark is never lost in the weight of assignments.
Qualifications
- Experience in instructional design, curriculum planning, or academic course evaluation.
- A strong sense for how students engage with online learning environments.
- Familiarity with art and design education (or creative fields in general).
- Excellent communication skills for offering thoughtful, constructive feedback.
- Brightspace experience preferred
- An appreciation for balancing structure with creativity
Compensation: $65,000 - $72,000/annually
