Overview

South College Online invites applications for the position of a remote Mathematics Adjunct faculty member. Under the direction of the Department Chair/Dean of General Education, the Mathematics Adjunct Instructor will provide ONLINE instruction for General Education Math courses including College Algebra, Statistics, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus on a quarter-by-quarter appointment.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality instruction in each assigned course within the approved academic program curriculum.
• Communicate with Faculty Leads for subject matter questions.
• Return all graded assignments in a reasonable time frame according to South College expectations.

Qualifications

Education

• A minimum of an acceptable Master’s Degree in Mathematics (doctorate preferred).
• An earned master’s or doctoral degree and satisfactory completion of 18 graduate semester hours in Mathematics.

Experience

• Experience teaching mathematics in an online environment.
