Online Grocery Pick-Up Clerk role at Kroger Mountain View Foods. This position involves selecting and gathering products for customers' online orders with attention to freshness and quality, assembling orders, processing coupons and payments, and loading orders into customers' cars at pickup. Responsibilities

  • Select and gather products for customers' online orders efficiently with attention to freshness and quality.
  • In-Store Grocery Shopper initiates and completes the selection process for customers' online orders.
  • Online Grocery Pick-Up team assembles orders, processes coupons and payment, and delivers and loads orders to cars at pickup.
  • In-Store Grocery Shopper scans and bags orders on the go while following bagging standards.
  • E-Commerce team including Online Grocery Pick-Up associates communicates substitutions or exceptions to customers at pickup.
  • Meet or exceed customer expectations for ease of shopping, variety, freshness, and cleanliness.
  • Adhere to local, state, and federal laws, food safety procedures, and company guidelines.
  • Receive customer orders from Order Selector and store products in optimal temperature zones.
  • Read and follow directions in the note section and ensure quality and freshness of all items.
  • Communicate with customers via a portable phone and respond to calls in a professional and timely manner.
  • Retrieve each customer’s order from staging locations, verify order accuracy, and load into customers' cars.
  • Provide a positive customer service experience that encourages customers to return to online shopping.
  • Process orders through the point-of-sale (POS) system and determine appropriate substitutions for out-of-stock items.
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of staging areas and equipment.
  • Report pricing, scanning, and item location discrepancies to the store e-Commerce supervisor; inspect equipment and report items in need of repair.
  • Perform required opening and closing procedures and assist in training new e-Commerce team members.
  • Meet or exceed productivity standards and work cooperatively in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
  • Follow directions and seek assistance when necessary to resolve customer and business issues; act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
  • Provide support and assistance through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults as applicable.
  • Must be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Qualifications

Minimum Position Qualifications

  • Ability to work without supervision
  • Ability to read shelf tags
  • Basic math skills (i.e., counting, addition, and subtraction)
  • Excellent oral/written communication skills

Desired Previous Experience

  • Any experience as a personal shopper or in a production oriented or warehouse environment, stocking shelves, or experience as a cashier
