Job description and responsibilities focus on selecting and gathering products for on-line orders, processing coupons and payments, and delivering and loading orders to customers’ cars for pick-up, while maintaining a positive customer service experience and upholding company values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

Responsibilities

• Online Grocery Pick-Up Clerk / In-Store Grocery Shopper: select and gather products for customers’ on-line orders in the most efficient manner with attention to freshness and quality.
• Initiate and complete the selection process for customers’ on-line orders.
• Assemble on-line orders, process coupons and payment, and deliver and load orders to customers’ cars at pick-up.
• Scan and bag orders while following bagging standards; communicate substitutions or exceptions to customers at pick-up.
• Meet/exceed customer expectations for ease of shopping, variety, freshness, and cleanliness.
• Adhere to local, state, and federal laws, food safety procedures, and company guidelines.
• Receive orders from Order Selector, store products in optimal temperature zones, read and follow directions in notes, ensure quality and freshness of items.
• Communicate with customers via portable phone in a professional and timely manner; retrieve orders from staging locations and load into customers’ cars.
• Provide a positive customer service experience to encourage repeat on-line shopping.
• Process orders through the point of sale (POS) system and determine substitutions for out-of-stock items per policy.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of staging areas and equipment; report pricing, scanning, and item location discrepancies to the e-Commerce supervisor; inspect equipment and notify management of repairs needed.
• Perform opening and closing procedures; assist in training new e-Commerce team members; meet/exceed productivity standards.
• Work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment; manage conflict calmly and with integrity; follow directions and seek assistance when needed.
• Provide support and assistance through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults as required.
• Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Qualifications

• Ability to work without supervision
• Ability to read shelf tags
• Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction)
• Excellent oral/written communication skills

• Experience as a personal shopper or in production/warehouse environments, stocking shelves, or as a cashier
