Med/Surg Tele RN Float

Location

This position is located in a facility requiring travel within 51-100 miles from the designated area.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

This is a 12-hour night shift role. Every other weekend is required, and travelers must work 2 out of the 4 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, and New Year's Day.

Job Description

The Med/Surg Tele RN Float will be responsible for providing nursing care in both Medical/Surgical Telemetry and Medical/Surgical units as needed. This role requires flexibility to float between units and the ability to adapt to varying patient needs.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in Med/Surg Tele and MS units.
  • Float between various units as requested, ensuring comprehensive patient care.
  • Participate in the orientation process on designated dates.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications are required.
  • NIHSS certification required prior to start.
  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, including travel nursing experience.
  • Teaching hospital experience is required.
  • Epic experience within the past 2 years is non-negotiable.
  • PCCN and orthopedic certifications are preferred.
