Position: Sr. Director of Sales, Beauty Department: Sales for Beauty Work Location: Bentonville, AR & Boston, MA (Hybrid: 3 days onsite per week) with a standard schedule Tuesday–Thursday in the office and optional remote work on Mondays and Fridays; schedules may vary by business needs. Minneapolis, MN: Fully Remote (100%). What You Will Be Doing Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, the Senior Director of Sales leads top-tier customer relationships and drives sales and profit growth across major U.S. retailers (e.g., Walmart, Target). You will develop strategy, lead product launches, execute promotions, and elevate category performance for our beauty brands. You will own customer sales and profitability and oversee National Account Managers, Sales Coordinators, independent manufacturers’ reps, and support staff. Expect a travel rhythm of approximately 30% and 70% remote, balancing in-market execution with strategic planning and leadership. You will: Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Finance leadership to develop and execute growth strategies that drive distribution, promotions, and profitability. Lead team operations including hiring, training, and performance management. Optimize inventory through E&O sales strategies to protect margins and minimize market disruption. Own key customer relationships and drive sales and profit across accounts such as Walmart and Target. Lead Joint Business Planning (JBP), category reviews, and promotional execution to secure incremental growth. Utilize tools such as Retail Link DSS, Scintilla, Nielsen, and IRI to manage account performance and market share. Develop differentiated channel strategies and guide fact-based selling through market insights and data-driven recommendations. Build cross-functional partnerships with Finance, Brand, Marketing, and Supply Chain to ensure seamless execution. Provide customer insights to Demand Planning and Supply teams to enhance operational performance. Set measurable goals for customer strategies and remove obstacles to drive results. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field 10+ years of sales and sales management experience calling on major US retail accounts Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis Preferred Qualifications MBA Skills and Experience 10+ years of experience leading multi-level teams, including hiring, training, and performance management Proven success in the beauty industry with Walmart, Target, and multi-channel retailers Proficiency with Nielsen, IRI, Retail Link DSS, and Scintilla for market analysis Strategic trade channel planning in partnership with Marketing, Finance, and Executive leadership Experience managing direct and indirect sales forces and supporting teams Strong track record of exceeding goals in progressive roles Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Office; skilled in negotiation, analytics, budgeting, and category management Compensation and Benefits In Massachusetts, the standard base pay range for this role is $164,258.55 - $246,387.82 annually. Actual salaries vary by location, experience, and performance.
