A bit about us:

We’re looking for a Traction Motor Winder to join our team. In this role, you’ll repair and rebuild the coils inside traction motors, making sure they run safely and reliably. You’ll be hands-on with the motors from start to finish—removing old windings, cleaning parts, rewinding coils, and testing the finished product.

Job Details

What You’ll Do

Remove old windings and prepare motors for repair Clean, inspect, and get cores, stators, and armatures ready for new windings Rewind coils by hand or using winding machines Apply insulation and protective coatings to finished windings Measure carefully to make sure parts meet exact specifications Test electrical windings for quality and safety Follow winding diagrams and technical instructions Use ovens and other equipment to cure and finish windings Keep accurate records of work for quality control Follow all safety guidelines and keep your work area clean

What You’ll Need

High school diploma or equivalent (required) Training in electrical winding or motor repair (preferred) 2+ years of experience working with traction motors or similar AC/DC motors Knowledge of motor winding methods and tools Comfort working with insulation, varnishing, and protective finishes Steady hands and strong attention to detail Ability to work independently and with a team Problem-solving skills and a focus on doing quality work
