Travel RN – Labor & Delivery / Mother-Baby Unit Orientation & Exam: Pass/fail exam during orientation (open book); 90% required to pass. Radius Rule: 50 miles; candidates cannot be employed with CommonSpirit facilities (CHI/Dignity). Fingernail Policy: Artificial nails prohibited; refusal to comply = termination. Licensing: Valid driver’s license required. Unit Info: L&D Beds: 11 | OR Suites: 2 | Triage Beds: 2 | Postpartum Beds: 32 Births: ~1,350/year | Ratios per AWHONN guidelines Certifications: BLS, NRP (C-EFM preferred or recent AWHONN Intermediate EFM) Patient Types: Inductions, epidurals, natural labors, water births, high-risk antepartum, postpartum moms & babies, OB surgeries Skills: Drip titration (Oxytocin, Insulin, Magnesium Sulfate), L&D & Postpartum care Support Staff: Charge RN, House Supervisor, Surgical Techs, Student Nurse Interns, OB Hospitalist & NNP 24/7 Monitoring: Central tele monitoring; RNs read EFM strips Shifts: 3x12 hr/week (6:30 pm–7 am), every 3rd weekend/holiday, occasional extra shifts Floating: L&D, Postpartum, Nursery, possible NICU or house task Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs or hospital scrubs Orientation: L&D and Mother-Baby units About Malone Healthcare - Nursing
