Pay Information $4,000 per week About The Position Job Description Elitecare Medical Staffing is seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery Nurse for a 13 week contract in Fresno, CA with the strong possibility of renewal. This role is essential for providing high-quality care to mothers and newborns throughout the labor, delivery, and postpartum processes. Key Responsibilities Provide nursing care to patients during labor and delivery, adhering to AWHONN guidelines for nurse-patient ratios. Assist in triage within the L&D unit, utilizing one of the L&D rooms as a triage area. Monitor and assess maternal and fetal health throughout the labor process. Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for laboring mothers and newborns. Administer medications and titrate drips as necessary, including Pitocin, Magnesium, insulin, and TXA. Educate patients and families about the labor process, postpartum recovery, and newborn care. Stabilize newborns when necessary and manage care for term and late preterm infants in the nursery. Document all patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR). 28422440EXPTEMP Job Requirements Requirements Current Registered Nurse (RN) license for California. Basic Life Support (BLS) Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Preferred: AWHONN EFM (Intermediate or Advanced), ACLS Minimum of 2 years of experience in labor and delivery, recovery, postpartum, and newborn stabilization preferred.
