Base pay range

$17.00/hr - $19.00/hr

Responsibilities

  • Receive inspection and dock auditing as required, and perform related quality assurance duties.
  • Complete all necessary documentation including tags and labels per the TS 164949 within expected time periods.
  • Perform First Piece Inspection and Last Piece Inspection of product to determine compliance to customer requirements.
  • Maintain variable charts per blueprint and/or customer requirements.
  • Assist in sort operations as needed.
  • Immediately report all discrepancies to the Quality Supervisor, Quality Engineer and/or Quality Manager.
  • Informally monitor quality system in cells/areas concerning labels, documentation, lot numbers, and first piece samples for procedural adherence.
  • Performs all other duties as requested by the Quality Supervisor, Quality Engineer and/or Quality Manager.
  • Communicate production and quality issues/concerns with associates and supervision whenever necessary, including shift crossover.
  • Participate in team problem solving activities (e.g., 8D reports, communication meetings).
  • Maintain adherence to internal and OSHA required safety procedures and company policies and procedures (e.g., Quality Manual, Associate Handbook).
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping in respective areas.
  • Knowledge of critical areas/features on product and ability to use quality tools to validate production requirements (e.g., calipers, gauges, check fixtures, X-Rite, moisture checking, McBeth light, Dial indicators) as required.
  • Vacuum and wipe down exposed areas of machines and equipment during production hours and thoroughly clean during nonproduction time.

Education and/or Experience

  • Knowledge of quality systems and standards.
  • Knowledge of inspection techniques and simple measurement instrument usage.
  • Capable of performing Gage R&R and capability studies.
