About The Position We are seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician for a locum tenens assignment in North Carolina. This 6-week opportunity begins on Dec 16, 2025, and features 12-hour day and night shifts throughout December. The ideal candidate will have recent ED inpatient experience and be comfortable working a flexible shift schedule. Job Details Location: North Carolina Start Date: Dec 16, 2025 LOA: 6 weeks Provider Type Needed: Emergency Medicine Physician Schedule: December Shifts—AM (730a-730p) on 16, 29, 30; PM (730p-730a) on 23, 26, 27. Ideally six to twelve 12-hour shifts per month. EMR: Epic Responsibilities and Duties Provide emergency medical care to a diverse patient population in the ED Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute and urgent conditions Stabilize patients and coordinate care with consulting specialties Order and interpret diagnostic tests as indicated Document all encounters and treatments using Epic EMR Adhere to best practices in emergency medicine and facility protocols Additional Information Must have active North Carolina medical license Board certification required in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine Must have completed ED inpatient shifts within the last 12 months Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required Benefits Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
