About the Clinician's Workday The locum must have an active North Carolina license and DEA, and be willing to help with call. This position is for a board-certified Anesthesiologist on a 7-on/7-off schedule with scheduled cases Monday through Friday. Call is required for all seven days, with MDs serving as first OR call and backup for OB, while CRNAs handle labor epidural call. There is no post-call day off. Case types include general bread-and-butter and OB, with no heads or hearts. The role is primarily supervision, but the provider must be willing to perform their own cases as needed. Additional Job Details Case Load/PPD: Varies Call Ratio/Schedule: Yes – all 7 days - MDs are 1st OR call and back up for OB. CRNA'S are labor epidural call.
