We are looking for a visionary business leader to define how we create new industry and vertical opportunities for Amazon Q. The leader will drive the go-to-market strategy for innovative AI-powered solutions that help end-users work smarter, communicate effectively, and leverage their organization's collective knowledge, while ensuring secure and appropriate access to information through Amazon Q's enterprise-grade security controls.
In this pivotal role, you'll lead a talented team of business development leaders, partner managers and sales specialists, and partner closely with the dedicated solution architect team focused on accelerating Amazon Q's adoption worldwide. You and your team will drive the vision, strategies, and execution for our geo and field teams to establish Amazon Q as the leading enterprise AI assistant, engage business and technical decision-makers, and create new use cases that showcase Q's capabilities across different roles - from developers to business analysts to contact center employees.
Your focus on the inputs that drive long-term growth will be a superpower enabling you to drive multiple complex sales programs to meet adoption and revenue goals. This leader will have the technical savvy to understand Amazon Q's advanced capabilities in detail - from its agentic abilities to its integration with business systems - and lighten the cognitive load for customers by representing these capabilities in terms of business value to both business and technical buyers. They will create the operating model necessary for successful enterprise-wide AI adoption and long-term customer success. Additionally, as a leader-of-leaders role, this candidate will also possess a proven track record of hiring and developing the best talent to drive Amazon Q's growth and innovation.
Partners closely with Engineering and Product teams to champion customer needs, translating real-world feedback into actionable solutions. Must demonstrate strong ability to influence stakeholders through data-driven insights while maintaining a firm backbone to advocate for customer priorities. Success requires exceptional relationship-building skills and unwavering focus on customer impact.

Key job responsibilities
- Accomplished B2B business leader with experience building new AI/ML businesses
- Proven track record of driving adoption of innovative AI technologies
- Experience managing complex customer and partner relationships
- Exceptional communication skills to articulate the business value of AI assistants
- Experience building scalable business organizations
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 15+ years of relevant business development in cloud and AI technology
- Global experience leading large, diverse teams
- Demonstrated expertise in AI/ML technologies
- Track record of building executive relationships
- BA/BS degree required
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience implementing enterprise-wide AI initiatives
- Deep understanding of generative AI and enterprise AI assistants
- Technical background in computer science or related field
- Proven public speaking and media presence
- Experience with enterprise software adoption and change management

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $232,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $345,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
