Overview

The Media Operations Data and Execution (MODE) team within Amazon's Cross Channel Marketing (XCM) division seeks a data manager to lead data operations processes. This role connects with product teams to deliver campaign insights that drive performance improvements. You will streamline data intake processes, manage validation protocols, and conduct analysis for models and reporting tools. Your core responsibilities include managing global data processing to identify risks, creating issue tickets for agency partners, and developing business logic for offline data collection (TV, Radio, Out-of-Home, Cinema).

Key responsibilities

  • Lead weekly validation dashboard reviews, establish data quality criteria, and identify root causes of data discrepancies across measurement and reporting teams and products.
  • Lead logic decisions for data used by product teams on categorization and visualization for offline data provided by agencies.
  • Manage global data processing to identify risks and create actionable issue tickets for agency partners.

About the team

MODE (Media, Operations, Data and Execution) Data Operations leverages our background in paid media to translate strategy to helpful insights from product development. We provide guidance on data categorization and visualization tooling. We deep dive into data issues and address adjustments needed operationally or with tooling to resolve.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
  • Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
  • Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional programs or marketing campaigns from concept to completion
  • Experience managing and measuring marketing performance in various channels
  • Experience managing planning and buying for offline media (TV, Radio, OOH, Cinema, etc) to translate information to product team
  • Experience managing external partners to develop marketing programs
  • Experience presenting ideas to various levels of an organization to gain support for initiatives
  • Experience in a similar role translating logic to support the development of marketing solutions for media managers

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay ranges from $98,200/year to $179,600/year, depending on location and experience.
